Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to everyone who uses JetRift: server owners, members and players. It is part of the Terms of Service. Questions or reports: [email protected].
1. You must not
- Break the law, or use the Service to plan or carry out illegal activity.
- Share, host or link to child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises or exploits children in any way. We report this to the authorities and remove the account immediately.
- Harass, threaten, stalk, dox or incite violence or hatred against any person or group, or share terrorist or extremist content.
- Infringe other people’s intellectual property or privacy, or use the Service to distribute pirated software or leaked data. Do not run a server that lets players join without authenticating their legitimate Minecraft account.
- Attack, scan, overload, probe, exploit or try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other servers, other networks or any person’s computer, or bypass limits, billing or access controls. This includes denial-of-service, port or vulnerability scanning of our systems without permission, and trying to read other people’s worlds.
- Use a server for anything other than playing Minecraft — for example cryptocurrency mining, proxies or VPNs, spam or phishing, running unrelated services, file sharing or botnet command-and-control.
- Create malicious or deceptive content: malware, plugins or files designed to harm players’ computers, steal accounts, or trick people into giving up credentials.
- Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages, or create accounts or servers in bulk to avoid limits or take names.
- Sell access, ranks, items or advantages that break the Minecraft usage guidelines, or otherwise use JetRift in a way that breaks the Minecraft EULA.
- Impersonate JetRift, its staff or another person, or use names or addresses that are misleading or infringe a trademark.
- Misuse resources: keep servers awake with fake players, or use more resources than your plan provides.
2. Server owners
You are responsible for your server, its moderators and the behaviour of the people you invite. Remove content and people that break this policy promptly. If you give someone access to your server’s files or console, they can do whatever those permissions allow — only trust people you know.
3. What we may do
We may investigate, remove content, throttle, suspend or delete servers and accounts, block addresses, and report to authorities, with or without notice, when we reasonably believe this policy has been broken or to protect the Service and other people. We may keep records of what was removed as needed for safety and legal reasons.
4. Reporting
To report abuse, illegal content, or a security problem, email [email protected] with the server address (the <name>.jetrift.com address) and what you saw. For copyright complaints see the Copyright and Takedown Policy.
